Friends subgroups
Since 2004 the Society has formed and supported four Friends subgroups:
Embedded Files
Friends of Leamington Station to make the station an attractive place to start or end a rail journey.
Friends of Pump Room Gardens to promote the restoration and improvement of this central area. Now dissolved.
Friends of Christchurch Gardens, to support and instigate enhancement of the gardens at the top of The Parade.
Friends of Mill Bridge, to enhance the bridge and environs.
The day-to-day running of the Friends subgroups is decided by the individual groups but is bound by the Constitution and Aims and Objectives of the Society. This confers charitable status on the groups as well as the esteem and recognition by local officials of the county, district and town council. It also provides charitable status to each group necessary when applying for funding from many grant making bodies.
